I do not know if it was understood, but I live in Kyoto, for nearly two years.
In Kyoto there are various flea markets, all on a monthly basis, all set up in temples. The most famous of these is held on the 25th of every month at Kitano Tenmangu , another very famous is held 21 to Toji, but my favorite is still one of the things made by hand which is held on the 15 Chionji .
However, the one where there are a lot of things "old" is just the market at Kitano Tenmangu. There are many stalls where you can find articles, magazines, retro-looking games ... typical of the period Shōwa (to get an idea, just look up 'photos of this page).
Obviously I have half a passion for style and sometimes I Shōwa shipments explicitly designed to bring home items totally useless.
Last month I did a big booty, but among the junk picked up on there are 2 bags of old medicines. That should be illegal is totally irrelevant, ah ah ah!
One is for the cough (セキドメ sekidome or block-cough) and is called A サザピタン Sazapitan A . Inside is a powder, the bag is small and flat and the front is designed with a small woman's hand as it was after we covered her mouth to cough. All around there is a setting of red and white stripes with blue outline.
On the back it takes up the ground and the center stripe, a yellow rectangle, there are doses, ingredients and contraindications. The expiry date is December '89.
The other is for the common cold (かぜ kaze , cold, or cooling, written in large letters in red) and it's called, I think, ロン L 锭 L Ron jō , I think because the "ro" is not understood well that it is written. Also I do not know if the "L" L j or references to the size of the pads (yes, they are pads) or not, since j or "pad".
However, stay away from the hair in the egg, on the front of the bag you can see a huge plane, I think of war, but if I'm wrong correct me, and also the name of the medicine is placed with a certain aerodynamic! The whole design is very reminiscent of a toy, I wonder why.
The back instead put me in trouble because it completely changes subject: there is a thing that looks like a ghoul, dressed in red and with big earrings. I'm pretty sure it's some classic character from the Japanese tradition, but unfortunately I have always looked down on these things that they find little interest in me, so I do not know who he is (and my boyfriend is at work, so I can not ask).
The expiration date says January of 61. If my calculations are correct, and if I was born in 57 age show, the year should be 1986.

For the rest, I have some news. From April I will start a design course for two years and I thought of doing a blog on this thing. Thanks to the notes and sketches by Federico Fellini, De Niro and Clooney soon apostrophe with sound "Pataca" all those who deserve it, with perfect knowledge of the facts.

Q lmost every day, drinking a little 'wine of the meal, I sometimes revisit the strongest metaphor for life. That is, the wine is ending, or to the last half glass. But if you control it all drained after a while 'I see that it had remained a few drops, sometimes the trick works a couple of times, but we're really running out . O you uncork a new bottle or drink water, or stop drinking.
Such is life. So did Steve Jobs telling us its news, when it announced its presentation at the tail of last prodigy: "Uh, one more thing!"
This time, we are informed, can hardly make such an announcement yet. No more things . We changed the way you use your computer, watch cartoons, listen to music, make calls, but a few days ago told us to be close to the end of his adventure.
Sometimes it happens that some drops of our own bottle of wine is very muddy and disgusting, as was for Pope John Paul II, Ronald Reagan or Annie Girardot.
I happened, at the restaurant, the waiter capsizing in the icy water of the bucket the bottle over, in a sort of euthanasia of the last remains undrinkable. As did Hemingway Monicelli.
For someone has gone much worse: just uncorked bottles of Sarah Scazzi or Yara Gambirasio were brutally spilled, wasted, ended up in pieces.
A beach holiday in Riccione, including one told by Max Pezzali, is another metaphor for life. It is gratifying, bright, the arrival, the beginning, but then the departure is unspeakably sad, but hopefully there's a new start next year fortunately. But it is not the same thing, just as each new bottle is likely to be less good than the last. Tonino Guerra and Rita Levi-Montalcini do not agree with this perspective, life is like for them (for Verdone) love, eternal, while it lasts.

In a previous post (10/29/2010) speaks of the dung beetle seen on the beach of Riccione, a long time ago. I found an episode (an animated series based on the private life of insects) with a lot of humor that manages to tell a funny story on the same beetle, vaguely humanised.
The whole series is entitled "Minuscule, la vie privée des insectes" and is a masterpiece of its kind, the more that needs no dubbing, because it is commented effectively only by music and noise.

"Every visit is unwelcome - no exceptions" .
I do not know why, but I thought that was an idea very optimistic and it made me think back to Tonino Guerra.

Before my eyes in horror a distinguished lady who had received a similar cascade of prosciutto and melon, just nibbling, declaring himself satisfied soon, virtually decreeing that the rest of the dish ended in the bin.

Good news: those who want the tax?
Finally a good idea for our tourism. Particularly new: it reminds me of the famous meal tax. The doctors in Rome have found a new cure for sick almost moribund tourism: a good bloodletting. As if there were not enough problems, the tax creates trouble again as early as 2006.
Just think what it can do now an entrepreneur who has already set prices for summer 2011. Will want to applaud? Will be happy to be able to finance more generous to the celebrations of the 150th? Garibaldi will tell you how: "I obey"?
One thing is certain: we must remember those who bring forward similar proposals in the next elections (which are closer and closer).

In September 2010 I went to see a lot of Hanshin Tigers in the famous Koshien Stadium, dragged by my boyfriend.
A ball crazy, I slept most of the time, lulled by a chorus of all those educated Japanese fans.
Before going to sleep, to keep me awake, I tried to distract the fans watching the seals bizarre, but there was no way. After eating a hot dog is dropped, aided by the fact that our seats had a wall that served as back rests.
But I have had time to shoot the hot dog, or rather, Hermann Dog! ( ヘルマンドッグ : the link is to a site about hot dogs in general and the page after a brief history of Hermann Dog, explains how to prepare it at home)
Hermann The Dog is a regular hot dog, good, but what struck me most, as usual, was the bag that contained it.
Yellow stripe and white image shows a drawing of a child eating a hot dog. "Hermann Dog" is written in red, obliquely, in the middle of the bag.
All very retro I like it! :)
above, in green, it says 甲子 园 限定 Koshien Gentee , or "Ed.limitata Koshien" more or less.
fact, this hot dog is sold only in this stadium.
And there's more! It 'was in 1934, the first hot dog traded in Japan.

In 2008, the second son of the same name that Hermann has decided to propose to sell the original version of 1934, so that's why the package design.
