Recently a section of the homepage Yahoo! presented a picture like this, to mention a performance by the Guinness Book of World Records took place in Sri Lanka. This is a sweet rice milk and the weight of 7000 kg. What
that is not explained and I'd like to know:
a) who has paid the operation
b) what we set out to prove
c) how many people have tasted the sweet
d) if they have left few pounds, which end
and did) what is the advantage to finish in the Guinness book for such a thing
f) is not the classic "slap the misery" for a whole country?
Some news and such thought fills me with sadness, almost as much as the idea of \u200b\u200bbiofuels made from crops to food crops or fodder. Some initiatives come to mind only the Americans. Those who forty years ago instead of the car wash dirty preferred to buy a new one. But we have seen what was the end: a fury of encouraging consumption and stimulate production, boosted mainly debts.
But someone will think that I care about facts so far from Riccione problems?
Well, the Guinness Book of Records mania is rampant even in the Green Pearl, especially now that the problems of the bathing season and there are far many people who have fat trouble free time.
so that the last few years have organized an event for charity, which raised a great turnout and widespread support babbonatalizi, while not achieving the ultimate goal, that exceed the pre-record of participants.
The Trailer: Riccione Xmas 2010! from Riccione on Xmas Vimeo.
This year they return to the office for the day after Christmas, even with a web page (Fichissima, megasponsorizzata) is here: www.riccionexmas.it
front of such great efficiency socializing, express some wishes:
a) I wish that, instead of once, the organizers worked also tested for other events of interest such as Carnival, May 1, the night pink, mid-August, for example.
b) a psychologist should analyze how the organizers managed to instill that feeling of "I was there" in so many participants. This study (or even thesis) may be reported in textbooks of sociology, marketing, and an example for new local initiatives.
c) a short, well done, it would be a useful complement to the event. A class of high school could take on the task of Riccione, just a couple of handsets: the young people off!
So even if many of the questions that I asked about Sri Lanka, change the things that need to be changed, could make even Santa Claus in Riccione, I would not look too pessimistic about the usefulness of a repeat event next Christmas fortune.
Although I will not attend. No Guinness, no party.
