THE CITY COUNCIL
Given that the young writer and journalist Roberto Saviano, author of the book "Gomorrah", an important work of protest against the economic power / military Camorra, has been living under cover 24 months because of numerous death threats;
given that few days ago a colleague of Justice, which formerly belonged to the Camorra, stated that there is a plan to assassinate Saviano by the end of the year;
detected as a result of these facts Saviano has announced plans to leave Italy;
considers it proper to show solidarity and demonstrate their closeness to Roberto Saviano and more in general to all citizens who bravely expose and challenge the powers of organized crime, without yielding to the perverse mechanisms and criminals that determine the economic and military superpower;
also considers it proper, by any public institution, publicly demonstrate forcefully that the proximity and sensitivity to issues of legality and fight against crime, in order to isolate the criminals and the attitudes otherwise support the law as much as possible, leaving only the people who had the courage to rise up and denounce, risking their own lives;
