Kawai Kanyu
wander the aisles of a drugstore hoping to find some deals (success: D) and I found myself in front of a tower to highlight those that make products with the discount. The worrying thing though is that the packaging of this candy-multivitamin supplement-drug-big face was printed on top of a child.
What seemed strange is that before I never noticed! Yet it is quite striking. The colors are very strong and combined in contrast, the box is tin and not so small. At first I thought they were simple candy, but then I came to suspect that they were integrated with something (not in Japan that sell you something without adding something else: p), especially for the price, not exactly cheap.
Indeed. I went to see the site of
Kawai, the maker and it says that those with the yellow box and blue cover, oval, hexagonal, with a red window that says "カワイ 肝油 ドロップ S" or Kawai S
Kanyu Doroppu contains candies with vitamin D2 and A. Note that this is the company's flagship product. Then there was a cylindrical jar with a nice bright green candies which contain, as well as D and A, including vitamin C.
Finally, discovered on the shelf normal because there was no advertising in the pyramid, the version for the mothers, I suppose, as instead of the big face of the child's face was a woman. The oval shape of the packaging is like the yellow one, but the cover is orange with white. These candies contain vitamins C and E and I read on the site that are not recommended for children under 5 years, unlike the other two, whose doses start at 1 year.
Apart from the sweets "for mothers", the others are all based liver oil cod. And it is why I am famous! The site says that Mr. Kawai, doctor of pharmacology, thought that the cod liver oil was an excellent supplement, but could not stand the taste, of course. Then, in 1911, has run ste invented candy-flavored fruit. In fact the site is about jelly, but given the cost of a jar I'm not sure I check in nature!
Not to mention, however, are considered drugs.
I am left with one doubt: the large face of the child is very similar to that of talcum powder
Siccarol Wakodo (penultimate product), but even more so in one of the most famous version, that of '65, I publish below. Unfortunately I can not go back to the release date of the alu bag with the big face Kawai Kanyu Drops and I can not make the comparison.
